1. A master electrician trains for nearly as long as a doctor.

Outside Lineman (professionals who bring the electricity from the power plant to the home or commercial building. Linemen work with transformers, substations and underground as well as pole to pole lines)
Industrial (processing plants, factories and manufacturing of all types requires heavy machinery, and the proper wiring to support it. Industrial electricians must be knowledgeable in generators, control systems and transformers

4. Electricians need to have solid thinking skills.
Every electrician must learn an extensive amount of information before undergoing testing required for becoming a Journeyman Electrician. That is only after they have worked and learned for a minimum of four years as an apprentice. Electricians must be proficient in math, reading blueprints and memorizing both local and federal electrical codes.
